The problem
It's warm, dark and sheltered — exactly what a wasp is looking for.
Picture a full day on the Birdsville Track, red dust rolling in behind you the whole way. By the time you pull into camp and go to hook up the hose, the tap fitting's caked in it.
Then there's what happens between trips. Leave the van sitting in storage for a couple of weeks, and that same sheltered, undisturbed opening is exactly what a wasp goes looking for to nest in.
The fix is mechanical, not chemical — cover the opening properly and there's nothing for a wasp to build in, and nothing for dust or mud to pack into. Wasp Blocker is moulded as one solid piece, not a stretchy silicone cap that can perish, split or work itself loose on the road.
